About Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science

Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (GIPS) was established in 2007 by the Shrimanta Shankar Academy (SSA) Society. The institute has a sprawling campus at Azara, Guwahati, and a second campus at Tezpur established in 2020. The institution is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi.

The institute is now a constituent of Girijananda Chowdhury University and is committed to shaping the future of pharmaceutical professionals in the region and across the country. The B.Pharm programme is accredited and re-accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for three consecutive terms.
